I am from a suburb north of Seattle called Edmonds. Growing up I played a lot of sports, everything from football to golf and love to snowboard. While staying active is important to me, my passion for architecture started in high school when I took a drafting class and it is what has inspired me to peruse a career in architecture. During my time at Cal Poly, I took a quarter off and worked for a construction management company in Seattle. Working in the field was a great learning experience of not only the building process, but the interactions between stakeholders. My time in construction inspired to pursue a minor in construction management and look toward working for a design-build firm. This studio continues to challenge me in both the programmatic planning and the construction process of the built environment, while taking on strategies of sustainability.
