In our impromptu pin-up for Project Titan with Jeanette and Rasmus Frisk, and Michelle Zucker, of arki_lab, Jeanette raised an important question: Can you use the space to share knowledge?   This suggests that space does not simply house learning activities, but in fact takes part in them.  This is at the heart of The Third Teacher, and connects to other topics we have talked about, such as the concept of affordance.   It also connects to ideas of distributed cognition, brought forward by Edward Hutchins, who’s essay “How a cockpit remembers it’s speed,” suggests that “remembering” is not simply a function in our heads, but is a function of artifacts and our environment.   SpaceShareKnowledge
